Patient presents to ED with finger splinter and cellulitis. Procedure note reads: punctured/incised blister w/25 ga needle. Approximately 4 mm splinter and moderate amount of fluid removed from blister.

Would 10160 be the correct code for this procedure?

Thanks for any help.

Take a look at 10120 since the MD is removing a foreign body. He is calling it a blister and not an abscess so I would be more inclined not to use the abscess code.
