I am drawing a blank and we don't do these very often--a patient presented with what was described as a laceration to the tip of his finger from a knife. On exam, there was a flap of skin and it was not able to be sutured. The skin was removed using scissors. Gelfoam was applied and a pressure dressing was applied with good hemostasis. Wound care instructions were given, no follow up needed.

I think it's just an E&M but the dr is pretty intent on a wound care code of some kind. What do you all think?
