Having one of those days...
Unfortunately and due to a multiplicity of errors (it happens), the practice sent out the ten required MCR claims with a typo. We submitted G8533 instead of the correct G8553! Today the denials came in and upon calling MCR were told that we cannot resubmit a corrected claim. Is this really true, and if that be the case will we be penalized for next year even if we submit the required amount of claims before the end of the year? Are we on board now for the reduction? I surely hope not. No grace from MCR?

From all I have read, and I sorry to say, you are out of luck. Medicare plainly stated that you could not submit a corrected claim in order to add/change the "G" code. Those submission did not count based off everything I have read. Sorry!

Thanks for the response....I feared this might be he case thru research and the response of others. Just wanted to toss it out on the forum to see if there might be a glimmer of hope. Apparently not.
