is it correct to put icd 9 code 38.95 for the placement of a picc line?
 
38.95 is for dialysis catheter insertion, for PICC line without ultrasound guidance you can use 38.93 and for with ultrasound guidance 38.97.

I assume you are coding then for inpatient facility since outpatient and provider will never use the volume 3 ICD-9 codes. I just wanted to clarify which ICD-9 codes you were wanting.
