Can anyone tell me if I'm coding the following correctly?
One of our physicians was called into the ed. The physician spent a large amount of time with pt in ed and then had to ride in the ambulance when the pt was transfered to another hospital. Can I bill out an ed visit along with prolonged care?

So we can only charge the ed visit code? Our physician was not actually working in the ed. He was on call so had to go to the hospital due to the ed's physician request.
