My surgeon was called in he did sternotomy and discoverd pt had left main dissection and aortic dissection from the base extending to arch. The patient coded, and went in to Vfib arrest they tried to revive him but were unsuccessful. So what code would you use? I was thinking like an exploration code but pt was not injured and this was not a redo sternotomy. Any help would be appreciated.
