A patient was given a hepatitis b immune globulin intramuscular injection of 8 mL due to an occupational needle stick. I am showing 2 codes for this injection - 90371 and J1571. Am I able to bill both of these codes and can I bill multiple units for the J1571 code? I am at a loss as to how to bill this correctly since we normally do not offer this injection.
