Does Blue Cross/Blue Shield recognize G0101 and Q0091?
 
Very few B/X Plans will accually cover G0101 and 95% they will deny Q0091 in NY. I am not sure about other states. hope this helps.
 
I am in AZ and we bill a Q0091 with our first pregnancy visit (when flow sheet is started), we can't bill out a visit so we only bill a pap smear for ptnt's who need it. Blue Cross has always recognized the code and paid without any problems. I guess it may depend on the situation you are billing it out with.
