For those of you coding for Bariatrics. If your physician does a planned Bariatric procedure such as a sleeve or a RNY and he finds a paraesophageal hernia and repairs it are you coding the 43281 in addition to your primary Bariatric procedure?
I realize this does not bundle but i do not feel correct in doing this because a incidental hernia repair should be included with the primary procedure.
I just want input into how other bariatric coders are doing this.
