One of the Emergency Dept. MD's that I am working with has asked the question, "The risk table of the CMS guidelines defines a cardiovascular test with CT contrast high risk. Can we consider a CT brain angiogram that is ordered a similar type of test and consider this high risk?".
His question makes sense considering the cardiovascular test with CT contrast is really not much different as far as necessity than the CT brain angiogram.
