Does anyone know how I would code an arthroscopic hip capsule repair?
My provider performed an arthroscopic femoroplasty, and then documented "capsule repair also was undertaken at the end of surgery. An 0 PDS suture was passed using a suture passer through the capsulotomy that had been extended approximately 2 cm, in line with the femoral neck. The posterior limb was first pierced and then the anterior limb of the hip capsule, tying the suture, and reapproximating this transverse of the capsulotomy due to this patient's mild-to-moderate dysplasia."
The closest code I found was 27036 for an open capsulotomy... Should I do an unlisted code with this as a procedure? Or just add modifier 22 to the femoroplasty?
