I do not work as a coder but would like some advice for my workplace. We are finding a problem with the orders presented versus the actual procedure for CT hip. Could I get some tips on coding the hip joint v hip extremity? The order and auth are for CT hip extremity but is coded as a CT joint and therefore not being paid.

I presume we need to bring together several parties to solve this issue. However, do you have any tips on explaining the situation?

is no code for CT joint - so what are you actually coding?
