Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone of you brilliant professional coders out there could help me out with this. Here is a snippet of the op report:
An incision was made over thegreater trochanter. This taken down to the IT band. The IT band was split in line with its fibers. A complete bursectomywas performed and the abductor tendons were identified. There was a tear that was identified it was split in line withthe tendons and the greater trochanter was debrided with a rongeur to get a good bleeding bed of bone.
Now would I code the 27062 bursectomy along with the abductor tendon repair? Or is that part of the overall procedure?
