Hey Y'all,

Has anyone used the new Hip Arthroscopy codes yet? If so, how has the insurances taken them and have you had decent reimbursement? Got a new doc who wants to do them and we're weighing cost vs payment, is it worth it kind of thing...

We do. payments is ok. $2,000-$3000. CPT bundles 29915 with 29916 but for a time certain carriers were paying all 3 (29914, 29915, 29916) and now are starting to bundle. ALL carriers pay but Aetna. We have our Aetna patients sign waiver. You lose 29862+29863 with FAI codes which were high $$ (up to $5,000 for 29862 and $3000 for 29863). W/C (NY that is) has not recognized these new codes yet...so we use old ones for now...as per their request.
