Does anybody know if Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP) is a condition/complication of HIV/AIDS?
 
Hi!

I don't think it is one of the Big 5 diseases automatically linked with AIDS. In order to use this with 042, you've gotta have provider documentation that the condition was caused by AIDS. Some of the illnesses automatically qualified as AIDS-related are:

1. Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia
2. Kaposi's Sarcoma
3. Certain types of lymphoma
