I understand that the global code for a routine vaginal delivery with AP and PP care is 59400, but how would you bill the time spent in labor? I have been told that in a hospital they are billed as triage, but a home birth midwife can have one on one contact with the patient for over 15 hours, are there codes that can be billed for those hours?
