We will have a physician covering for another one of our physcians who is on leave. Can we bill Home Health Certs under the abscent physician's name but have the covering physician sign off on that cert? If not can anyone recommend a better way to make sure that the Home Health patients are cared for during the physician's abscence? Thanks for your help
 
I work in Home Health and I consulted my coworker in MD Orders and she said you can have the covering Physician sign the orders as long as the covering physician is PECOS enrolled by CMS. I hope this helps.
