Our company is Brain Injury Rehab center w/ three facilities two in the same state. One of our counselors has traveled to one of the clients home for a home visit. Client is having behavioral problems and familiy is having difficulties adjusting to him being in the home. I billed these encounters w/99499 for the client assesments and 99082 for the travel expenses. Everyting was denied. Looks like the carrier wants a better code. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which code I should use. I was thinking about using 99600 (unlisted home visit service or procedure). Please give me your input. Thanks. Oh, I almost left out some important info, client is a Work Comp. (in california) :)
