Trying to bill in-pt consult and dual chamber pacemaker on the same day. I have filed the 99222-57 then the pacemaker code of 33208. Medicare has denied stating that it is on the 19.2 version of the CCi edits and states that another modifier is needed on the E/M code.

They are probably wanting to see the records for the consultation before paying. They have been denying many of our claims wanting documentation. I would give them a call and see if that is what they are needing. HTH
