Our clinicians regularly see hospice patients for their primary care needs. The encounter notes are clear and specifically state the visits are for non-hospice related diagnosis. We generally append the GV modifier. Does anyone use GV and GW together? How has that effected Medicare payment?
 
I use GW to show we are not the Hospice dr and we are not seeing the patient for the hospice reason
