Our provider spent 2 hours discharging a newborn which she states included a well check. I told them they could use the code 99239 which is discharge code > than 30 min. They want me to research if there is some kind of add on code or something else. Thanks for any input.
 
That's a very interesting question, I too would like to hear some input. When I review the prolonged care codes (99356) it has instructions for which codes to bill with (discharge services not included). I would guess no, but would like other opinions.
