hospital discharge after a colon

A physician performed a colon or egd procedure on a patient admitted in the hospital...the physician next encounter with the patient is a discharge.. is the inpatient hospital discharge code 99238 billable?

Also if the patient is having an outpatient colon or egd procedure done at the hospital and is discharged the same day, can you bill codes 99234 for outpatient admit and disharge on the same day?
 
If your physician is not the admitting dr. you cant bill a discharge code on the pt.

also for out pt procedures at the hospital you only bill the procedure for the proffessional side, you do not bill out any discharge codes.
