Okay, having a debate with my billing office and would like your input please.
A patient is admitted to hospital on 09/30/2015 and discharged on 10/02/2015.
Am I supposed to enter charges for 09/30/2015 with ICD 9 codes and charges for 10/01-02 with ICD 10?
I was under the impression that if the patient was admitted in September but discharged in October, then all charges were to be submitted with ICD 10 codes.
