Good morning,
I have been using code 99233,99232,99231 when my Dr. see's and rounds on a patient that is in observation. He told me I am wrong and should be using the 99214,99213,99213,
Any thought on this.

Your doctor may not be familiar with the E/M changes that were effective January 1, 2023. Here's a link to an AMA document that may be helpful to share with him:

Thank you so much. I did show him that CPT book and the updated code description. Would happen to know an example of "other" in the description of 99213 where it says office or "other" outpatient visit.
