Neurosurgeon from another practice does a consult on a patient at the hospital. A PA from our neurosurgery practice then visits the patient. Can we bill an initial visit?
Second question (going with the same example), the neurosurgeon from another practice then performs a surgery on the patient. Our PA visits them after that in the global period. Is that still a post op and not billable even though we are not the same practice?
