I bill/code for a family practice and one of our patients saw Dr.A for her wellness visit, then Dr.B for and E/M pap/hpv and breast lump/mass all on the same day. I have two diffrent super bills, one for each doctor. Do I need a modifier? Can I bill them all on one claim with mod 25 on the E/M?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I ran into a similar situation when I was coding for group of general surgeons. A patient came in on the same day to see 2 different general surgeons for different issues. Insurance paid one claim and denied the other because she saw 2 different general surgeons on the same day. I had to appeal the denied claim stating exactly why she had to see them. I also pointed out they bill under the same tax ID but have different NPI numbers. The claim was paid. You may have to submit it as is and fight the denial later on.
