We are at odds with the use of v66.2 and especially with regard to the administration of Neulasta.

Our records NEVER state there is chemo convalesence and I am hesitant to just put on that code because Neulasta is being given and the patient is still in active chemo treatment. Isn't that interpreting the care without documentation??

How is chemo convalesence defined?

Does anyone automatically put V66.2 on a case just because Neulasta is being given? This is the case with one of our coders but I refuse to use this code unless the record so states that this in a convalescent patient.

Thanks for any help.
