It's not just newbies.
I know it's hard to for new coders to get their foot in the door, but keep in mind we are also in a recession. I was recently out of a coding job for a long time (over a year) due to the recession. I had to take other jobs and wait for something to open up in my area, due to the fact relocating was not an option. If you are willing to relocate, there are jobs out there, so keep trying, something will open up!
