I am looking for the legislation which shows exactly how claims need to be billed when services are performed by a physicians assistant.
I am billing for a multispecialty practice and the PA is supervised by a D.O.
Does the PA's billing information need to be on the billing with the supervising physician information as well?
The PA's claims are being denied by 1 payer stating the NPI isnt recognized, however it has been confirmed the NPI is in the NPI registry.
The practice manager is asking me to just bill under the supervising physician without mention of the PA and I just dont feel this is correct.
Can anyone direct me where to find information specific to Illinois for PA services that are non-surgical?
