Problem stated patient had adverse effect of these 4 drugs. Digoxin, labetalol, Cardizem, and metoprolol.

They reported code T46.0X5A for the digoxin, which I agree with. They also reported T46.5X5A, which I cannot figure out.
When I used the Table of Drugs I got T44.8X5A for the labetalol, T46.1X5A for the Cardizem, and T44.7X5A for the metoprolol. None of these were reported, instead replacing with T46.5X5A.

What am I missing?

Hello dee10535,

T46.5X5A says Adverse effects of other antihypertensive drugs. Cardizem, Labetol, and Metoprolol are antihypertensive medications, so maybe it just required 1 ICD 10 code to cover these three medications. That is the only thing I can think of. I hope to hear from you on this one. I am curious. Thanks for sharing.
