I need to code for LCIS (lobular carcinoma in situ) which is not considered active breast cancer and is considered precancerous for breast cancer. No active treatment, but no mention of monitoring. Recently diagnosed two months ago. Do I code for the LCIS or is it a personal history code, which I could not find anything real specific to fit? I am leaning towards a code for the LCIS. Any help would be much appreciated! Have a great day!
