Hello,

If a patient comes in with left thumb UCL sprain with mild subluxation of MCP Joint and left proximal phalanx fracture. Put in a thumb spica cast.

Can you code the UCL Sprain and Subluxation with an E/M code and the fracture with a fracture care code or is it best to code all under an E/M code.

All Dx can be used as pointers for the E/M visit. I would use the thumb injury code for the Dx pointer for the thumb spica cast.
