Wiki How to code Ulcerative Colitis in remission

We have a patient who has a history of UC, but has had normal colonoscopies since 2009. Some of the coding tips I receive list UC as a "Forever Code" and other s do not. Should this patient be coded as UC K51.9(we have no specifics on type) or Hx of UC Z87.19. Any help appreciated!!

I would code hx of.
If it was Crohn's diease with UC or just Crohn's that would be a chronic condition.
To me UC can heal and be due to stress or infection which heals and isn't chronic.
My thoughts hope it helps:)
