I hope I'm posting this in the right place.
Lets say two doctors work in the same clinic and an Ultrasound is ordered for one doctor (ordering provider) but the test is read by another provider (interpreting provider). Both doctors work for the same clinic and the test was performed at the same clinic.
If billing as a global CPT in whose name would the test be billed?
Should it be billed in the interpreting provider's name with the ordering provider as the referring provider?
Should it be billed separately as a Tech Component and Professional Component instead of a global CPT?
