I am new to the billing/coding industry but will soon begin billing for a small birth center practice. The owner/midwife has been outsourcing her medical billing and wishes for me to take it over. I've taken all the pre-requisite classes but haven't taken the certification exam yet. She is leaving it up to me to gather the proper software/hardware etc to get this going and I could really use some advice. Any suggestions on how to start, what to look at, what to stay away from? Help!!
