I was wondering if there is a "cheat sheet" of sorts that I can use to decipher when to use the 36415 Venipuncture code or not. I can't figure out on some labs if the specimen is blood, urine, robe or other, or could be all. I just pray that 1 is a blood count, and I am home free.

I would appreciate any information you have that might make this click in my head. If you have a sheet, I would appreciate having it sent to me. I promise to not sell it, or mass produce it!! :p If there is a place I could buy one, I am all for that too! :D

Thanks for any and all your help!

labs

I do not know of any cheat sheet........maybe you could just "google" the name of the test......read if it says "blood is drawn" or "urine is used". that's all I can think of to tell you. I myself just know from experience, and if I do not know, i look up the CPT code in my CPT book and I can tell from there......that's about all i can offer. sorry
