We are considering performing Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) diagnostic test in our office. (For P.A.D.) How would we bill and what would the appropriate code(s) be?

I am brand new at coding so I wanted to find the answer to this. I did a little research and thought 93922 would work.

both of those codes work for the ABI. However, it depends on what information is in the report as to which one you can bill. Make sure the report has the required levels to bill the 93922. You can't make a decision to code something without a report.

Abi

I was doing some research and have found that 93922 and 93932 is for either upper extremity or lower extremities not for both. For example if a 93932 is done for both upper and lower extremities it should be coded as 93923 then 93923-59. Is this correct? Any thoughts or information on this would be greatly appreciated.
