Patient has lesion left lateral to nose that has been increasing in size 1x1 cm,nodular. Lesion cleansed & anesthetized. A wedge biopsy is elliptically excised. In so doing, gelatinous cystic tissue was extruded from this lesion and collapses well. I could not excise the base at this time. Sutured with 5-0 interrupted sutures. Path report comes back as basal cell carcinoma. Would this be a biopsy 11100 or excision of malignant lesion 11641? Please advise.
