If a patient attempts an overdose, my co-worker states that you can use systemic/drug ingestion as a Location? Is this correct? Thanks in advance for your answer

Agree

With Thomas if I wasn't clear in my previous post...

pertaining to or affecting the body as a whole.

If a systemic reaction or symptom is documented in the HPI, I'd agree too. But to assume a location based on 'overdose' alone is a stretch. 'Location' in HPI refers to the location of the signs or symptoms.
