If patient came for Dialysis had ESRD condition and if documentation of DM In PMH then according to new coding clinic update DM with ESRD combo code i.e E11.22 as well as Htn and ESRD combo code I12.0. Among 2 codes E11.22 is having more DRG weightage than I120, So can we take E11.22 as PDX without any workup for DM.
