Patient is admitted with convulsions and Human herpesvirus 6 encephalitis is positive. how we need to code this condition.
what will be the PDX and SDX in this case. As Human herpesvirus 6 encephalitis is B series code, can we code this as a B series as PDX.

My opinion is to code B10.01-Human herpesvirus 6 encephalitis as a PDX and convulsions is a symptom for encephalitis. so, we can code only B10.01 alone. I hope it helps.
