I have a resident who came in with past surgical hx: hemicolectomy for lower GI bleeding... how do I code this?
I was going to code V45.72 Acquired absence of intestine (large) (small) - BUT because it was only a hemicolectomy and not a colectomy... It isn't the whole colon... do I just code it as V15.29 Personal history of surgery to other organs?
