When is hydration considered the 1st primary code in long list of infusions other that when dehydration is the primary reason for visit? Often nausea and vomiting is reason for visit, no documentation whether patient is dehydrated. Do you code push of zofran 1st or hydration of sodium chloride first? Also, what other dx can you code with hydrations? kidney stones, UTI, appendicitis, abdominal pain...?
