The provider removes a hymenal polyp (lifted with forceps and cut with knife) requiring stitches. I can't find any code specific to the hymen... The two codes I am wondering about are 57135 (Excision of Vaginal Cyst or Tumor)
or 57500 ( Biopsy of Cervix or local Excision of lesion with or without fulguration) The polyp was sent to the lab... Any thoughts?
