Can I code hyperglycemia (790.29) with DKA (250.13)? aren't these comflicting dx? if so, which one comes first?
Thank You!

The DKA itself by definition hyperglycemic crisis causing ketone presence in body fluids(ketoacidosis). To add up to that the 5th digit .x3 states it is uncontrolled.
So in my openion the 250.13 itself suffice
