My physician did a radical hysterectomy removing all of the cervix, uterus, and adnexa as well as parametrial tissue. However, there was no mention of lymphadenectomy or para-aortic sampling. I am torn between coding this as 58548 with a 52 and 58571. It was done laparoscopically and specimens were removed through the vagina.

what about a 58571 (depending on size of uterus) with a 22 modifier for the parametrial tissue?
