58550 vs 58570
My physician does Robotic Hysterectomies and always wants me to code out as a TLH 58570-58573. I just recently came across something telling me if he is removing the uterus, cervix, tubes and ovaries by the vagina then we should be billing out 58550-58554. That you should only bill out 58570-58573 if he is removing through scope and morcellating. Anyone know how to distinguish between the two sets?:confused:
