Good morning everyone hopefully someone answers my question but my question is we have a patient that had an initial I&D with packing. If the patient is still getting his abscess packed after the global period of his initial visit how is this billed? Another I&D complicated or just the E/M? Thank you in advance.

Unless you are repeating the I&D, you would not bill for another I&D. Wound care such as cleaning and repacking is included in E/M unless there is debridement or negative pressure therapy.
