Could somebody tell me what would be considered a complicated I&D (10061)?

The criteria that distinguishes a simple I&D from a complicated I&D should include one of the following.

a. The lesion of foreign body is larger than 2.0 cm/d
b. The lesion may require packing or insertion of a drain
c. To allow continued drainage, the physician may place a drain or gauze strip packing
d. The lesion will require re-draining during the global 10-day postoperative period
e. Complicated cysts may require later surgical closure
