In the September 2011 issue of Coding Edge, there is an article on correct usage of I & D codes, simple vs. complicated. Does anyone know where I can find guidance from CMS or AMA on this subject. I have seen the same rationale that this author is using but cannot find any basis for it from a qualified source.
